General Sales Terms for the CEPC Online Bookshop

An ´Online Bookshop´ is a digital sales medium for publications contained in the Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales webpage that provides access to the CEPC´s editorial catalogue. Products that appear in this shop and are of interest to the purchaser can be selected and acquired online. These products will soon be available in digital format (.pdf or .epub).

However, if desired, we can attend to your request using other means, such as email ( publicacionescepc@cepc.es) or post, fax or pone (+34 914228994).

Sales are submitted to Spanish legislation.

The prices that appear in the ´Online bookshop´ do not include VAT: 4% for print publications and 21% for those in digital format.

Once the request has been processed the system will show the total price of the purchase, including VAT and postage fees, if applicable.

VAT billing is subject to purchases made with a billing address in the European Union, except the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla.

The CEPC takes no responsibility for other special charges, tariffs, or costs relevant to the place of destination of the consignment.

With the shown detail and after having entered the credit card details, the final decision to complete the purchase resides in the ´pagar [pay]´button, that implies the acceptance of the purchase and the subsequent automatic charge, if all the details are correct. .

Exchanges or refunds will only be made in the case of faulty products or shipping errors within a ten day period after the date of reception, with the CEPC assuming the costs of postage of the new product.

All the details used, other than the credit card details, will be incorporated in a database in order to facilitate the processing of orders. The client can exercise the access rights, rectification and cancellation of the details in said database in the terms recognised in the Organic Law 15/1999 of 13th December, on Personal Data Protection.

Forms of payment

When you purchase a product through the ´Online Bookshop´, you can pay by credit card, using VISA and MASTERCARD.

When purchasing subscriptions, the following methods are also permitted

 - Direct Debit for Spain

 - Payment by bank transfer to the CEPC (sólo only for public organisms).

Postage of products from the CEPC Online Bookshop

Postage is carried out by authorised courier companies.

The costs are to be covered by the client. In all cases the online bookshop calculates the postage costs according to the weight of the books and the distance travelled to reach the delivery address.

Tariffs can be consulted here: “Postage tariffs”.

The total cost of the order is shown, for compliance, when completing the delivery form along with the necessary details for the transaction and before confirming the payment.

The delivery time is usually a week but it varies greatly depending on the destination country. The CEPC cannot be considered responsible for the consequences of delays in delivery, especially in cases of force majeure, computer breakdowns, the suspension of postal services, transport or communications.

Costs incurred as a result of customs procedures in some countries are not the responsibility of the CEPC. In the case that they are incurred, it is the buyer who is responsible for covering the costs of the procedures that the respective country demands.

The Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales has arranged commerce insurance online with BBVA, which firstly checks the validity of cards and its functionality and secondly, guarantees that the site exists and certifies the transaction.

The exchange of bank details between client and BBVA´s virtual TPV terminal is encrypted using the SSL protocol (Secure Socker Layer). The information relative to the credit card is separated from the rest and does not reside in the web servers, remaining thus secure from possible hackers.
