El sistema uruguayo de control jurisdiccional de constitucionalidad de los actos
legislativos, concentra en la Suprema Corte de Justicia, órgano máximo del Poder Judicial, el onocimiento originario y exclusivo en la materia. La sentencia definitiva de la Suprema Corte produce efecto para el caso concreto y carece de efecto erga omnes. El autor examina en este artículo la naturaleza de dicha sentencia, si pasa en autoridad de cosa juzgada y si sus efectos, según las hipótesis posibles, son ex tunc o ex nunc.
