Resumen
Este artículo analiza las migraciones interiores que han tenido lugar en España desde el inicio de la modernización económica, aproximadamente a mediados del siglo xix, hasta nuestros días. En concreto, se hace referencia a la evolución de la magnitud de la emigración, la distribución espacial de los emigrantes, las causas y los efectos de los movimientos migratorios sobre los orígenes y los destinos, así como a la integración de los inmigrantes en los destinos.

Abstract
This paper examines internal migrations occurred in Spain from the beginning of economic modernization — circa mid-nineteenth century — to the present time. The following aspects of the process are analyzed: the evolution of migration rates, the spatial distribution of migrants, the causes and effects of migration in the places of origin and destination, as well as the integration of in-migrants in destinations
