Resumen
El presente artículo presenta los resultados de un estudio cualitativo sobre victimización por violencia por causa de honor realizado con una muestra mixta de once supervivientes reclutadas en el noreste español, entre personas sometidas a distintas expresiones de esta forma de violencia y de diversas procedencias. Partiendo de la narrativa de las personas supervivientes, el objetivo general de la investigación consistía en conocer en profundidad los elementos característicos del proceso de victimización que acompaña a este tipo de violencia. Los resultados permiten conocer las circunstancias objetivas en que se producen las distintas manifestaciones de la violencia por causa de honor, bajo el denominador común del control perdurable sobre la conducta de las víctimas, los contextos que favorecen su producción y los efectos y consecuencias que producen en las víctimas.

Abstract
This article presents the findings of a qualitative study on victimisation due to honour-based violence, conducted with a mixed sample of eleven survivors recruited in north-eastern Spain, encompassing individuals subjected to diverse manifestations of this form of violence and of varied origins. Drawing on the narratives of the survivors, the overarching aim of the research was to gain in-depth insight into the characteristic elements of the victimisation process attendant upon this type of violence. The results elucidate the objective circumstances in which the various manifestations of honour-based violence occur—united by the common denominator of enduring control over victims’ conduct—as well as the contexts that facilitate their perpetration and the effects and consequences they engender in victims.
