Nota biográfica

Lasse Thomassen is Professor of Politics in the School of Politics and International Relations at Queen Mary University of London. He was a García Pelayo Fellow at the Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales from 2008 to 2011. He works in contemporary Political Theory, focusing on post-structuralist political theory. His books include Deconstructing Habermas (Routledge, 2008), British Multiculturalism and the Politics of Representation (Edinburgh University Press, 2017) and Derrida, Deconstruction and Political Theory Edinburgh University Press, forthcoming 2026). He is currently working on a project on the politics of representation, reading theories of representation through a constructivist lens and applying it to contemporary political movements.
