Resumen
El objetivo de este artículo es doble. De una parte, se explican las características singulares y específicas de la cuarta ola feminista en el contexto de su genealogía histórica y teórica. De otra parte, se identifican algunas de las causas que han hecho posible este estallido social, entre las que se encuentran las transformaciones que ha experimentado el feminismo en sus últimas décadas y la aparición, al mismo tiempo, del capitalismo neoliberal. Ambas realidades sociales han tenido un impacto en el feminismo de distintas formas, pero ambas han contribuido a convertir esta cuarta ola en un movimiento de masas. Se señala también que el corazón de la cuarta ola feminista es la lucha contra la violencia sexual.

Abstract
The objective of this article is twofold. On the one hand, the unique and specific characteristics of the fourth feminist wave are explained in the context of its historical and theoretical genealogy. On the other hand, some of the causes that have made this social explosion possible are identified, among which are the transformations that feminism has experienced in its last decades and the appearance, at the same time, of neoliberal capitalism. Both social realities have had an impact on feminism in different ways, but both have contributed to turning this fourth wave into a mass movement. It is also noted that the heart of the fourth wave of feminism is the fight against sexual violence.
