Resumen
Este artículo pretende poner fin a la falta de investigaciones politológicas sobre los procesos de reforma estatutaria de las comunidades autónomas en España y estudiar la relación entre las instituciones estatales y la construcción de las identidades políticas nacionales. Con ese objetivo, se explora el fallido intento de reforma del Estatuto de Autonomía de Galicia (2006-2007). La investigación reconstruye el proceso institucional y aplica el análisis del discurso en las distintas fases a través de un conjunto de datos primarios y secundarios. Más allá de la materialización política, institucional y jurídica de la ley, los resultados descubren el debate estatutario como un proceso político marcado por la disputa discursiva y simbólica por hegemonizar la nación gallega.

Abstract
This article aims to address the lack of political science research on the statutory reform processes of the autonomous communities in Spain, as well as to study the relationship between state institutions and the construction of national political identities. To achieve this, it explores the unsuccessful attempt to reform the Statute of Autonomy of Galicia (2006-2007). The research reconstructs the institutional process and applies discourse analysis in different phases through a set of primary and secondary data. Beyond the political, institutional, and legal materialization of the law, the results reveal the statutory debate as a political process marked by discursive and symbolic dispute to hegemonize the Galician nation.
