Resumen
La cooperación transfronteriza constituye una de las principales tipificaciones de la era actual. Una serie de acontecimientos sobrevenidos en las últimas décadas han favorecido la generalización e intensificación de dicha cooperación, especialmente activa en el ámbito de la Unión Europea. Ahora bien, este proceso de cooperación suscita una importante cuestión: ¿se conformarán estas poblaciones y territorios fronterizos con el re-encuentro y la cooperación, o irán más allá? En otras palabras, ¿conducirá la cooperación transfronteriza a la integración transfronteriza? ¿Y cuál será el alcance de esa integración? ¿Se cumplirán las previsiones del federalismo étnico, el cual refiriéndose al escenario europeo pronosticaba la superación de las fronteras y la refundación del viejo continente?

Abstract
Cross-border cooperation represents one of the main typifications in the current age. The spread and the strengthening of this cooperation, especially active in the field of the European Union, have been favoured by a series of events occurred in the last. However, this process of cooperation gives rise to an important matter: will these villages and border territories be satisfied with this rapprochement and cooperation, or will they go beyond that? In other words, will the cross-border cooperation lead to the cross-border integration? What will be the scope in that integration? That way, the forecast done by the ethnic federalism will it be fulfilled?
