Resumen
Este artículo se centra en el estudio de la libertad de imprenta. El objeto principal es descubrir si libertad de imprenta es lo mismo que libertad de expresión en el modelo constitucional de 1812. El análisis se realizará a la luz de los Diarios de Sesiones de las Cortes de Cádiz y de los principales diarios de la época. Partiendo de una delimitación temporal que va de 1810 a 1812. El documento se divide en tres aspectos relevantes: los antecedentes jurídicos en España sobre libertad de imprenta, el análisis de los debates parlamentarios en las Cortes y el examen del Decreto Noveno de 1810. Para finalmente tratar de identificar qué clase de derecho es la libertad de imprenta.

Abstract
This article focuses on the study of freedom of the press. The main objective is to discover if freedom of the press is the same as free speech in the constitutional model of 1812. We analyse the Daily Session of the Parliament of Cadiz and some newspapers of the time, focusing on the specific period from 1810 to 1812. The legal background of freedom of the press in Spain is studied, including analysis of parliamentary debates and the Ninth Decree of 1810. Finally, the article endeavours to identify the nature of the right of press freedom.
